Registration is now open for the 2027 Kanata Cubs Rep & Dedicated Select Programs!

If you're an experienced player between 8U and 18U looking to take your game to the next level, now is the time to register for September tryouts. The Kanata Cubs program offers players the opportunity to compete at a higher level while continuing to develop their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment.

The Kanata Cubs Rep & Dedicated Select Programs are part of the National Capital Baseball Association (NCOBA), with teams competing against other NCOBA clubs throughout the season while also participating in tournaments across Ontario.

Tryout Process

All registered players will have the opportunity to try out for a Kanata Cubs Rep Team. Players who are not selected to a Rep roster will be offered the opportunity to continue through the competitive evaluation process by trying out for a Kanata Cubs Dedicated Select (DS) Team.

Throughout the tryout process, players will be evaluated on a variety of baseball skills, including:

Hitting
Fielding
Throwing
Speed
Agility
Overall game awareness

Tryout Schedule

Tryouts are expected to take place over the weekends of September 12, 19, and 26, with sessions scheduled on either Saturday or Sunday depending on the age group.

Head coaches for the 2027 season will be announced over the next week or two. Once coaching staffs have been confirmed, specific tryout dates, times, and locations for each age group will be finalized and shared.

Registration Information

Registration Fee: $25
Players must register at least two days before their scheduled tryout session.
Players must attend at least one tryout session, although attending both sessions is strongly recommended.
