Girls Baseball

Girls Baseball Program

We are entering our fifth year of offering dedicated Girls Baseball teams in KBA. The momentum continues to grow for an all Girls baseball league in Ottawa with all Ottawa Little Leagues now offering Girls only teams.  Ottawa West, East Nepean, South Ottawa, Orleans and Glebe Little League ran Girls-only teams in the 2025 season. In addition, teams from Mississippi Little League joined us as well.  Girls baseball is growing quickly....be part of it !

This is an exciting time for the growth of Girls Baseball in our city!

Description

The 2026 season will run from early May until the last week of July. Teams will typically have two practices per week from Monday through Friday and games on Sunday afternoons.

All other Ottawa baseball associations plan to have girls teams this season including Ottawa West, East Nepean, South Ottawa, Orleans and the Glebe. We may also play exhibition games vs Kingston and against girls teams from the Outaouais association.

If we don’t have enough players registered to form a Kanata team at a specific age level, we can work with other local associations to have players join one of their girls teams. Our goal is to get as many girls playing baseball as possible.

NEW 2026: Girls Select Teams (Minor, Major, Junior): For girls looking to enrich their baseball experience with a more competitive edge, consider trying out to be part of a "Select" team.  You will still be placed on a balanced team for your regular season play but those selected (by a tryout evaluation) to be on a Select team will get more baseball in the form of Select team practice, exhibition games vs other Ottawa Girls Select teams, games vs Gatineau girls teams, participation in Tournaments etc.  The Select team activities are not to interfere with the house team schedule.  Look for the check-box in your regular registration to show your interest in being considered for Select.

Registration is OPEN Feb 1st
