Record-Breaking Scott Tokessy Memorial Gold Glove Tournament Raises $45,000 for CHEO

The 2026 Scott Tokessy Memorial Gold Glove Tournament has officially come to a close, marking another unforgettable weekend of outstanding baseball, community spirit, and giving back.

This year's tournament welcomed a record-breaking 94 teams from across Eastern Canada and northern New York State, making it the largest tournament in its 29-year history. Even more impressive, the tournament raised an incredible $45,000 for CHEO, the largest donation ever generated through the event.

While championships were decided on the field, the true success of the weekend was measured by the generosity, dedication, and community spirit displayed by everyone involved.

The Kanata Baseball Association extends its sincere thanks to the volunteers from the Scott Tokessy Tournament Committee and the Kanata Baseball Association, whose countless hours of planning and hard work made another successful tournament possible. We are also grateful to our tournament partners, CHEO, Mayor Mark Sutcliffe, Councillor Allan Hubley, our sponsors, umpires, coaches, players, and the thousands of families and fans who supported the tournament throughout the weekend.

For nearly three decades, the Scott Tokessy Memorial Gold Glove Tournament has been about much more than baseball. It has brought communities together while raising vital funds for CHEO and ensuring Scott Tokessy's legacy continues to inspire generations of young athletes.

As another remarkable tournament comes to an end, we thank everyone who helped make this year's event the biggest and most successful yet.

Looking ahead, 2027 will mark the 30th year of the Scott Tokessy Memorial Gold Glove Tournament. We look forward to welcoming teams, volunteers, families, and supporters back as we continue to honour Scott's legacy, support CHEO, and build on the tradition that has made this tournament one of the premier youth baseball events in Canada.
