Spring House Season

Program Description

Before the Spring season starts, we conduct "sort-outs" when there is more than one team in a division, to create balanced teams and tiers where desired. This happens in the 5-15 days before game-play begins (mid/late April at the Sensplex Fieldhouse).

Teams are given a few days to meet and get in practice before game-play begins.

The regular season of game-play involves 10-12 games (6 weeks) through May and June plus playoffs. Teams will generally play 2 games per week. While the younger ages play within KBA only, older teams (Junior & Senior) may have a schedule interlocked with other organizations to provide balanced and varied competition. 19U GOBL plays a 3-month interlock with surrounding Little Leagues in the Ottawa area.

** All safety protocols dictated by public health authorities will be followed **

Equipment and Uniforms

All players must supply their own baseball glove and batting helmet. Players should wear appropriate athletic footwear and clothing for baseball activities, baseball pants are highly recommended. Jock or Jill required.  Players with their own baseball bats are encouraged to bring them. Uniforms (jersey, cap) will only be distributed for house and interlock play (some jerseys are loaners while other divisions keep their jersey. Caps are always kept by the player)
