9U Tryout and Coach Registration Open

"9U" is Kanata Baseball's OBA Competitive team for players turning 8 or 9 in the calendar-year of competition.

This program focuses on skill development and fun with teammates in a competitive baseball environment. The machine pitch format allows hitters to see consistent pitches and put the ball into play, creating lots of fielding opportunities. Players also get lots of reps in practices.

The 9U team plays 7-inning games against other teams in the National Capital Ontario Baseball Association (NCOBA). Our KBA Return to Sport protocols ensure a safe and healthy environment for all players and volunteers.

The season typically runs from May into mid-August, with 1-2 games and 1-2 practices per week.

Tryouts for this team will be held February 12th and 19th, 5pm-7pm at Beckwith fieldhouse. Players selected for the team would be invited to weekly indoor team training sessions starting March 26 until April 30, before moving outdoors later early May.

There are still player positions available on this 9U Rep Baseball team (for kids born in 2013/2014). If interested, register today to be invited to the tryout.

• Complete the registration steps for the tryout (there is a $15 fee for tryouts)
